Potholes on Enen Nsit road, Akwa Ibom killed my son - Distraught father laments

- A Nigerian man has taken to Facebook to cry out after loosing his young a tragic car accident

- The man identified as Ini Mbebeng, stated that it was the potholes on a certain road in Akwa Ibom that killed his son

- Going further, he revealed that two days after the accident, some people decided to fill the potholes with cement

Loosing a loved one is never easy and for most parents, burying a child is something the pray fervently against. For this heartbroken man identified as Ini Mbebeng, the nightmare of loosing his son to bad roads, will forever hunt him.

Mbebeng who lost his son on March 25 to a road accident in Akwa Ibom, took to his Facebook page to share photos of his son, stating in clear terms that the potholes on Enen Nsit road in Nsit Ubium LGA killed his son.

He wrote: "POTHOLES ON ENEN NSIT ROAD, NSIT UBIUM LGA KILLED MY SON. The potholes on Enen Nsit which have been the decoration of Ikot Edibon to Ikot Etobo axis of that road from the first month after commissioning were left untouched for over a year until this week TO TAKE MY SON'S LIFE ON MONDAY 25TH MARCH, 2019. The company that did this side of the road should clap for itself."

"Surprised to see that 2 days after my son's death some people were filling the potholes with cement and sand. I wonder if those materials were not available in the market for the past one year; ooh the company or government waited for them to be wide and deep enough to take a life and give others serious injuries."

In another tragic news of parents burying their children, Ibisaki Amachree, who worked as electoral officer in Abonnema, Rivers state, was shot dead during the election violence that occurred in the area. Her heartbroken father identified as Daperi Trumperi Amachree took to the Facebook platform to mourn his daughter.

He wrote: "Here lies my beautiful daughter Ibisaki, a post graduate degree holder, full of cheer, love and kindness and mother of two. She was shot dead yesterday by a trigger happy and jittery soldier while she was on a national assignment with INEC."
