This occurred when she and her entourage arrived late for boarding an Abuja bound Air Peace Airline flight and thereafter attempted to force it from taking off without them. Reports said Mrs Amaechi’s entourage formed a human barricade to prevent the fully boarded aircraft from taking off while her armed security aides beat up two of the airline’s ground staff for not allowing their principal board the flight. May 31, 2018 An alarm has been raised after an unusual item made by a primary school pupil was discovered in Maiduguri, Borno state capital. It was gathered that a gun (rifle) model was made by a primary four student who used rods from classroom chairs for his construction. The item was recovered from the pupil and confiscated by the school authorities. The Facebook user who shared the pictures – didn’t reveal whether any action was taken against the pupil.

The suspect was reportedly arrested by a team of policemen in Minna on a tip-off while trying to re-register the stolen 307 Peugeot saloon car with Lagos registration number, JJJ271DB, at the Federal Road Safety Corps, Minna. According to him, he encountered a couple three years back whom he assisted with some cash only to see them begging on same issue yesterday. In his narration, he explained that the couple approached him in 2015 soliciting fior help on behalf of their dieing son who needed N75,000 for a medical emergency. He compassionately gave them N25,000. He was however surprised to have spotted them three years later at another location begging for same cause. The 34-year-old Nigerian man who illegally resided in Houston has been ordered to prison for his involvement in numerous fraud.  Identified as Samson Olugbenga Oyekunle, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud Oct, 6, 2017. Today, U.S. District Judge Melinda Harmon ordered Oyekunle to serve 63 months (over 5 years) in federal prison. He initially came to the United States on a student visa, but not a U.S. citizen, he is expected to face deportation proceedings following his sentence. At the hearing, a victim spoke before the court as to how this case has devastatingly affected him and his law practice.
