- Police in Nakuru have set up a manhunt after one of the officers shot and killed his wife and 5-year-old daughter

- The suspect is said o have had a domestic quarrel with the wife before shooting her in the head

A police officer is on the run after he shot dead his wife and five year old daughter on Wednesday, February following a domestic quarrel.

Cosmas Kipchumba is reported to have had an argument with his wife before he shot them and escaped.

The unfortunate incident happened at the Anti-Stock Theft Unit camp in Subukia, Nakuru county.

Police said a manhunt on the officer has been launched with an aim of arresting him.

Major roadblocks in the area have been put on alert to get the man on the run.

It is not yet clear what caused the quarrel.

In a separate incidence, a nine month old baby died after an electric coil with boiling water exploded on him in a house in Kayole area, Nairobi.

Acording to a report by Radio Jambo, the maid taking care of the baby had left the house and left the water boiling on the coil.

Police say the coil exploded on the baby causing fire and killed him.

By the time locals contained the fire, the baby had died. The charred remains of the baby were moved to the mortuary.

Tribunal Upholds Elrufai's election as Kaduna Governor

September 09,2019 Kaduna Governorship Election Petition Tribunal Monday upheld the election of the State’s governor Nasir El-Rufai. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Alhaji Isah Ashiru filed an application seeking a recount of the votes cast during the March 9 election in the state. El-Rufai, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress, polled total votes of 1,045,427 to defeat Ashiru who garnered 814,168 votes. The petitioners, however, claimed that the poll was characterised by massive rigging, ballot stuffing, and violence in some parts of the state.
